Happy Spring!

Macy’s Flower Show 2013

To welcome a beautiful spring and say farewell to winter weather, we’d like to share our design from the Macy’s Flower Show! From March 29th to March 31st, L’Olivier Floral Atelier returned to the annual Macy’s Flower Show held at Herald Square as the Bouquet of the Day. This year’s show evoked the inspiring architectural and vibrant spirit of South Asia. Our piece was inspired by the traditional Indian wedding!

To Celebrate the culmination of the Lalique x L’Olivier Pop-Up Shop,

The French Luxury Crystal Brand and top celebrity florist, L’Olivier

hosted an event to unveil the winners of the #LaliqueFlora Art Hunt Game

At the finale of the Lalique x L’Olivier Pop-Up Shop on November 15th, L’Olivier Floral Atelier and Lalique celebrated with the unveiling of the winning designs of the #LaliqueFlora Art Hunt social media game.

The #LaliqueFlora Art Hunt lived on L’Olivier’s Floral Atelier Facebook page where participants were tasked with designing their own interpretation of the Bacchantes Vase with the “Forever Toujours” Signature Collection of Preserved Roses.
Each entry was unique in its designs and included photographs, graphic design, watercolor and acrylic paintings all submitted to benefit National Dance Institute.

Since its founding in 1976, National Dance Institute, a non-profit organization, has transformed the lives of more than two million public school children through its award-winning arts and learning programs. Children discover the arts through dance and develop standards of excellence, a pride of achievement, and a curiosity about the world that supports their success in school and in life.

Fans of the Facebook page voted for the designs they liked best. The designs with the most votes were chosen as Semi-Finalists.

Our judges for the #LaliqueFlora contest included our very own master designer Olivier Giugni, President & CEO of Lalique North America Maz Zouhairi, and National Dance Institute’s founder Jacques d’Amboise. They chose the designs they thought best represented the “Forever Toujours” Signature Collection and the Bacchantes Vase after its 85th year anniversary.

The grand prize recipient, Jennifer Meng a designer at Felix Rey, was gifted a Lalique Ombelles Vase, a one of a kind arrangement from L’Olivier and tickets to National Dance Institute’s 2013 Event of the Year. The second place runner up design was awarded to Vincent Ugaro, an artist and writer. The third place runner up was awarded to Sotiris Biziouras, an artist and Managing Director at a digital strategy consultant agency. Both the second and third place runner ups received a 100ml Lalique fragrance, bouquets from L’Olivier, and tickets to National Dance Institute’s 2013 Event of the Year. The grand prize and second place recipient’s artwork will be auctioned to benefit National Dance Institute.

We thank all the contestants that took part in the Art Hunt and made it a success.
